South Asian Conference on “Unfolding Emerging Issues in the Context Climatic Scenario

Center for People and Environ, LEDARS, BARCIK, CAPS, Danish Refugee Council, Daffodil University, IIARI India, Global Forum for Sustainable Rural Development, and Global Center for Environment and Climate Change are going to organize a South Asian Conference on “Unfolding Emerging Issues in the Context Climatic Scenario” in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on the following 25 and 26 November 2023. The conference website (https://www.cpe-bd.org/south-asian-conference-2023/) launching (on-site and virtual) ceremony was held at the Center for People and Environ(CPE) office on 01 September 2023.

The conference will provide an opportunity for the exchange of best practices and knowledge among specialists, researchers, and policymakers. Conferences like such provide motivation as well as encouragement for collaboration as climate change continues to have an impact on South Asia and the rest of the world. It is possible to lessen the effects of climate change and develop a more sustainable future for everyone with the spirit of collaboration and the commitment of nations.

Muhammad Abdur Rahaman, the Director of the Center for People & Environ, and member secretary of the conference delivered a warm welcome to those attending the physical and virtual ceremony, which gathered attendees from all around the region. Mr. Rahaman emphasized the organization’s dedication to resolving the urgent environmental issues that the region and the entire world are currently experiencing. He also expressed the objective of the conference in the website launching ceremony. In the website launching ceremony, Mr. Tapasa Ranjan Chakraborty, Convener of the conference presided over the program. Mr. Chakraborty expressed that the South Asian Conference in 2023 is going to be an important occasion, bringing together professionals, decision-makers, researchers, and advocates for the environment to discuss the constantly increasing problems forced on by the changing climate. The launch of the website was an important step in fostering discussion, cooperation, and awareness in the area of climate change, with the conference set to take place in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

In the website launching ceremony, Professor Dr. Kamruzzaman Majumder from CAPS, and Mr. Khaled Md. Bahauddin from Daffodil University, Mr. Mohan Kumar Mondal from LEDARS, Mr. Rahul Chakraborty from IIARI, and Mr. Abu Siddique, Editorial Contributor, Mongabay-Bangladesh provided their valuable opinion.
